What is influencer marketing?

In recent years, the world of advertising has changed. We have adapted to new media. The Internet is on the rise and, therefore, actions that previously focused the point of interest on the product, now oscillate between the product and the user.

Social networks are the platforms for influencer marketing to take place, which, in turn, leave behind the offline communication standards, such as the press and television. And, in addition, other values are transmitted when working with brands in the digital environment. Do you want to know more about this unstoppable trend? Go ahead! A new world awaits you.

“Influencer marketing, the concept

We talk about ‘influencer marketing’ when a strategy is carried out between the brand and the influencers. Influencers are people whose visibility and power of opinion are high on social networks. They are able to guide the preferences of their followers through recommendations and even certain ways of thinking through testimonials and advice.

These influencers are specialised in a particular field or topic, such as gastronomy, fashion or sport. Through the type of content they publish, certain specialised brands will want to use this user for their future campaigns.

The selection of the influencer for our campaigns covers different aspects to take into account: the type (and number) of publications they make on their profile, the reach they can reach and, above all, the engagement, i.e. the relationship between the number of followers and reactions to a photo.

Sometimes, a profile with a large number of followers is not receptive to the influencer themselves; on the other hand, profiles with a smaller audience tend to have a more loyal audience and, therefore, a greater response. In previous articles, we talked about micro-influencers and their power to reach others with their messages and advertisements.

The advantages of influencer marketing

The change of environment means changing to a world full of novelties. And, also, of positive aspects to take into account when carrying out advertising campaigns. Do we know them?

● Let’s start with costs. If there is one good thing about working in the online environment, it is that you can manage specific budgets, without having to invest large amounts of money in traditional media such as television.

On the other hand, within Internet campaigns we can obtain highly segmented data on users, both socially and demographically, as well as the activity they carry out on social networks.

Results can be obtained almost immediately, even in real time, to progressively analyse activity and reactions to the action in question.

● Within digital marketing, the double contact, both with the selected profile and with the customer, is constant. This makes it much easier to manage the campaign according to the brand’s requirements.

Instagram, the best tool for digital marketing

Speaking of social networks… did you know that Instagram is the platform where most influencer marketing campaigns are currently being carried out? The goal is simple: a picture is worth a thousand words. Posting both in the feed and in Stories, these two forms of promotion shine for their efficiency and functionality.

Influencers are in charge of advertising brands to their users. Aged between 18 and 35, their content is focused on an eminently young audience. That is why brands, in order to obtain a greater reach, take advantage of the pull of influencer marketing to reach the new generations.

At Keeper Experience, we carry out campaigns with all kinds of profiles that adapt to the needs of our clients. If you are looking for the ideal influencers for your campaign, do not hesitate to contact our team (hola@keeperexperience.com). We have the perfect proposal for you!
