Sergio Barreda, CEO of Keepers, moderates a key discussion on the connection between digital creators and television
The Television Academy hosted a new edition of Los Desayunos de la Academia under the title Influencers & Television, an event that brought together leading content creators and professionals from the audiovisual sector to reflect on how to connect with today’s audiences. The session took place at the Room Mate Macarena Hotel in Madrid, with the collaboration of the Ministry of Culture.
The discussion was moderated by Sergio Barreda, CEO of Keepers, member of the Academy and President of APIDE, who led an engaging and insightful conversation with creators and industry figures including Henar Álvarez, Carles Tamayo, Marina Rivers, Verdeliss, Gotzon Mantuliz and Marta Pombo.

Throughout the session, participants explored key themes such as the growing synergy between social media and television, the increasing fragmentation of audiences, and the importance of authenticity as a core value for meaningful connection.
In his role as moderator, Sergio Barreda guided the debate, highlighting the evolving role of digital creators within the audiovisual landscape and the need for mutual understanding between traditional media and new digital formats
Henar Álvarez underlined the importance of staying true to one’s identity in an increasingly fragmented media environment:“What matters is not just the content, but authenticity, and staying true to the personality that made you known in the first place.”
The event concluded with a general consensus among participants: collaboration, authenticity and the ability to adapt to the language of each medium are key to connecting with increasingly diverse and demanding audiences.
This session forms part of Los Desayunos de la Academia, an ongoing initiative designed as a space for dialogue and reflection between members of the Academy and leading professionals from the audiovisual sector. In the coming months, the format will travel to different cities across Spain with new themed sessions.
