Influencer tips for a perfect Instagram feed
Let’s face it. It’s not that easy to pick up your camera or phone and take a picture. There are thousands of attempts to find the perfect shot and the right colours for the feed. At other times, we are too demanding and try to reinvent our profile with new ideas. But, in reality, it’s hard.
Previously, we told you about the different applications you can use to achieve a more attractive result in your photos. However, what are the tricks to give our Instagram account a new perspective? In this article, we offer you some tips to improve your mobile photography technique. Take note!
Make the most of natural light
We often resort to using flash to enhance the colours in the photo. At certain times of the day it can do us a great favour, but on sunny days, please make the most of natural light.
The tones that daylight offers to the environment are ideal 1) to capture the moment and facilitate a well-focused photograph and 2) to edit the colours without losing a bit of quality. In addition, it will give them a much more refined and, at the same time, everyday look. Because light, after all, shows us the true reflection of reality.
Pre-planning
For a post to reach people (in all senses), it needs to be thought out in advance. What concept are we as instagrammers looking for? And in the case of campaigns, how can we integrate the product in a way that appeals to our followers?
It’s quite simple. Let’s sit back and take a deep breath. What kind of photos do we know are going to be a hit on our feed? And, on the other hand, how can we give them a different approach? These are questions you ask yourself to ensure success with your content. If we organise both the number of photos and the timing, it will be easier to play with different ideas.
Learn how to adjust your photography
Instagram is a very versatile tool. Not only does it allow us to apply filters, it also helps us to restructure the photo in question. While it is necessary to experiment with perspective and new approaches, they can turn out crooked or excessively slanted.
Framing must become a fundamental concept in our dictionary. For this reason, we must learn to use the rule of three thirds. This social network offers us this possibility, dividing the photo into nine grids. If you like to respect proportions, this is your chance.
Explore your creative side by changing shots
We know you’re a lover of central shots, but everything in its right measure! To surprise our followers, we need to offer them fresh content. And it all starts with a change of vision. Take a risk and don’t always take photos at eye level. They are attractive and, in certain scenarios, they can be spectacular. But let’s break the monotony.
Overhead shots (i.e. from above) will allow you to see the view from an unusual angle, but not a forbidden one. For gastronomic photographs, it is a must. The low angle shots (from below) are ideal for integrating people and architecture in the same image, and if we play with detail shots (or close-ups), we will capture the beauty of things from a privileged position.
Play with your phone’s manual mode
Isn’t it easy to take photos automatically? Well, just know that it doesn’t always give us the results we want. And in post-production, when we try to edit it the way we want, it loses quality.
One of the options of our camera is the manual mode. By activating this option, we can touch any point in the scene, change the shutter speed and adjust the focus and the light coming in. In this way, we will avoid that, depending on the levels, the photo is burnt out.
